Title: Soulmates: Selene
Characters: Eunhyuk, Jo Kwon, SJ, 2AM, OC
Rating: PG
Chaptercount: 12/22
Summary: One unexpected yet scheduled meeting brings with it the start of so much more.
A/N: The first story I wrote with Super Junior in it lol. I was a bit of a fan at that time and Hyukjae was the first member of Super Junior I knew. I gradually learned more about them as I wrote this story so if some things don't add up at all, don't blame me lol.

“Heya!” she called, making the two that weren’t facing her turn around to look over their seats in surprise. She lifted her hand and waved. “Hi, I’m Selene, nice to meet you!” she called out, returning back to her comfortable position immediately after. “There, I met them. Can you leave me alone now?” Jo Kwon laughed, but did get up and went back to his place. She was finally able to close her eyes and rest. Yet now her sleepiness had disappeared. The only reason why she had acted so harsh was that she actually wanted to get closer to him and that feeling scared her.

She didn’t really know how much time had passed when she opened her eyes again, but the sight immediately made her jump up from her chair in surprise. Jo Kwon was sitting across from her again, smiling as he looked at her. She had to recover from the shock a moment, before she was able to respond. When she did, it was in the same annoyed way with a good amount of Heechul temper in it.

“Aish! Seriously! I can understand why they let no one sit in the same part of a plane as you! Have you never heard of privacy or personal space? Or people not wanting to talk to you?” She gave him an irritated look while talking. “It was nice to see you again, now please leave me alone.” He didn’t leave, however, and just kept smiling. She felt like grabbing anything moveable and throwing it at that stupid smirk of his.

“Selene-ssi.” someone suddenly called her name. She looked up, surprised by the unknown voice that sounded really gentle. One of the three boys who had been accompanying Jo Kwon was standing in the aisle, motioning her to come to him with a friendly smile on his face. She recognized the one who had been in the seat facing her when she had called out her name to them earlier. A little confused she got up to see what he wanted from her. When she reached him, he stepped aside to let her pass.

“You can sit with us. We’ll make sure he doesn’t bother you.” he said, showing her an honest smile.

“Really? Oh thank you very much! I greatly appreciate it!” she replied, immediately going to the seat that had previously been taken by Jo Kwon. The one who had talked to her came to sit next to her, where he had sat before as well. When looking at the three people sitting around her, she realized they were of course the other 2AM members, all having went to Japan for promotional activities and now going back home.

“Sorry about our Kwonnie. He tends to get a little over-social from time to time. We’re trying to teach him not to, but he turns out a hard learner.” the person sitting athwart from her said. She smiled and shrugged.

“Well, you can’t really help it. Some kids are impossible to raise.” she replied. They all grinned.
“My name is Changmin.”

“Nice to meet you.”

“I’m Seulong.” the guy across from her said next.

“And I’m Jinwoon.” That was the guy next to her who talked.

“Nice to meet you two as well. I’m Selene as I think you already know.” They smiled and nodded. “Can I ask something? Out of curiosity.. How did he become the leader of the band when there’s three much more capable guys like you around as well?” They all burst out laughing. Suddenly Jo Kwon appeared in the aisle next to them.

“Because I have been a trainee for the longest time.” he calmly said, putting a hand on Jinwoon’s shoulder. “Please let hyung sit.” he added. She stared at him in surprise.

“Wait.. You’re older than him?” she then exclaimed. They laughed again as Jo Kwon nodded. She turned to look at Jinwoon.

“How old are you then?” she asked.

“I’m a ’91-er.” he calmly replied.

“Really?”

“Yes.”

“Omo. You’re my dongseng!”

“Ah really? I thought you were younger! What year?”

“’89.”

“Oh! Just like Kwonnie here!” Changmin said, smiling as he pointed at Jo Kwon.
“Are you a noona to me too?” the latter was quick to ask. With his friends around he seemed to be much calmer and more like a normal person.

“Depends. What month were you born?”

“August.”

“Ah, then you’re an oppa to me like the other two.” she said while showing him a little smile. He was nothing like the weird and annoying guy he had been before. He smiled back, a genuine smile that made her feel a little bit happier as well. Because of the conversation, Jinwoon hadn’t moved or made any preparations yet to enable his hyung to sit, so Jo Kwon was still standing in the aisle. She got up and went to stand next to him.

“Oppa, you sit down again.” she said, letting a hand rest on his back very naturally. “I have to take another look at my schedule for the next days in Korea. It was nice to meet you all.” The last words were directed to the three other guys. The smiled and nodded. “Maybe we’ll see each other again.”

“Take care, noona. Enjoy your stay in Korea.” Jinwoon said. She smiled and bowed at them once, before going back to her own seat. As she sat down, she noticed a little paper on her bag. Picking it up, she realized it had something written on it. It was Korean, but written in the western way, so that she could easily read it without knowing the Korean alphabet.

‘I’m sorry if I have annoyed you with my presence, but I think it’s such a big coincidence that we keep bumping into each other. Next time we meet, I will buy you a drink if you would be so kind to let me.’ it said. A more sincere smile appeared on her face as she read the words. That boy was really something. Still, she felt flattered because of his interest in her. She put the note away in her bag. Right at that moment one of the stewardesses’ voices came over the speaker.

“We will be landing in Korea in a few minutes. Please remain seated and fasten your seatbelts, thank you.” she said. It was repeated in Japanese, Chinese and English as well. Selene immediately did as she was told, already looking forward to seeing Hyukjae again. At the same time she was also curious about the gifts her friends had bought for the boys. When the plane landed, she waved at the four members once more before leaving together with the normal people. Cho Hee did accompany her, but she had strictly asked not to make too much of a commotion about it, so she was just lead to the end of the arrival gate, from where on she would proceed on her own.

Feeling happy to be in Korea again, she walked out into the large airport, immediately turning her phone on again the moment she thought of it. The airport was just like every other airport in the world, but this one had so much more meaning to her, because it was the airport she would walk through whenever she was going to meet her beloved boyfriend. Once outside, she stopped a taxi and put her bags on the backseat.

“Selene!” someone suddenly called from behind her. Surprised she turned around to see who had spoken. The voice had been female, yet she didn’t know any Korean girls. At least none she thought of in the first moments. A girl about her age walked up to her, showing a very genuine smile. “Hey. Are you Selene from Star King?” she asked, the moment she had reached the taxi as well. Selene nodded, a little surprised. “I just wanted to say I really admire your skills. I’ve been wanting to learn a few languages myself as well and I thought maybe you could give me some tips on how to learn them the quickest way..”

“Oh.. Uh.. I would love to help you, but I don’t really have much time right now. I have a tight schedule and they’re waiting for me.”

“Do you have to be in Seoul?”

“Yes.”

“Would you mind if I came along? I have to be there too. I will split the costs of the drive with you, of course and then we could maybe talk on our way there..” Normally Selene would have declined, but the girl gave off a very honest and trustable aura. In some way, she felt related to her, as if they had something in common. Maybe it was because the girl said she was interested in languages as well. Whatever it was, it made Selene nod slowly after some thought.

“Yah, sure, why not.” she said, stepping aside so that the girl could get in first. She got in after her and closed the door. The very first thing she did was telling the taxi driver where to go. It was only a waste of money to keep him standing in front of the airport. When the man started driving, she turned to look at the girl next to her. “Not to be noisy, but what’s your name, unni?” The girl smiled as she heard the word unni, like she hadn’t expected that. Maybe she was younger than her? But she looked so much more mature..

“My name is Ae Cha. Kim Ae Cha. People call me K’Ae, but I guess unni will do fine as well.” she then replied, proving that she was indeed older.

“Nice to meet you.” Selene said, smiling a little. “So you want to learn some languages? Which ones?”

“Well Japanese is the one I’m very interested in, but I also want to learn Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese and some others.”

“Learning languages is hard. You know that right?”

“Yes. I do not plan on learning them thoroughly, I just want to be able to speak them a little. Basic conversations and such.”

“Ah yes.. Well the best way to learn is to get someone to teach you. Self study mostly doesn’t pay off very well.”

“I see..” K’Ae nodded and smiled. She looked really interested, so Selene didn’t feel uncomfortable at all talking to her. They talked about the languages some more, before going on about other interests of theirs. When they arrived in Seoul, Selene didn’t even realize it until they started passing huge buildings that took away the sun. Soon after the taxi stopped where she had to be. She had really felt related to the girl and it had been very easy to talk with her, so before saying goodbye they exchanged phone numbers. When she started walking away, K’Ae suddenly called after her.

“Tell Eunhyuk oppa and Leeteuk oppa I said hi.”

Shocked, she turned around, wanting to ask how the girl knew about that, but K’Ae was already on the other side of the road, waving happily with a bright smile on her face. She then held a finger on her lips to show that she would not say anything. Selene stared after the girl, not knowing how to react in the current situation. In the end, she just turned back around, quickly shook her head and started walking. She was still quite an end away from the boys’ dorm, so she had quite an end to walk. In her mind she was anxiously trying to find a possibility how K’Ae could have found out she was going to the boys. While walking, she got a text message, so she quickly took out her GSM and checked.

‘Selene-ah. Don’t worry. Unni won’t tell anyone. It was nice talking to you. ^^ Take care. <3 K’Ae’

A little smile appeared on her face and she shook her head. Somehow the thought of the girl miraculously knowing about her plans didn’t even scare her. It felt like K’Ae was someone who would indeed know those things. Anyway, she would ask the boys about her, since unni had told her to say hi to them. With that thought in mind, she increased her pace.

It didn’t take her very long to get to the building. She was let in quite easily by the guards. Somehow Hyukjae or Leeteuk had managed to get her an access pass without making anyone suspicious about who she was. The people probably thought she was just another stylist or something like that. Well, she wasn’t complaining. Not at all. With a little smile she arrived at the eleventh floor dorm. She knocked on the door, looking at the bag with gifts once more. The door opened not moments later and a hyperactive person immediately threw his arms around her, hugging her tightly. Even though she had expected it to be Hyukjae, it wasn’t. Instead she was looking at Sungmin’s face when he let go.

“Oh, I’m so glad it’s you!” he exclaimed, smiling widely and looking very relieved for some reason. “I lost a bet and had to hug the first person entering the dorm, even though they know how much I dislike hugging random people!”

“Thanks.” Selene replied, adding enough sarcasm to her words. “I thought you were happy to see me, but no.. It’s just because of some bet.” Sungmin immediately hugged her again, a very shocking action since he had never hugged her before, let alone twice in five minutes.

“Of course I’m happy to see you! How are you? How was the flight? Did they treat you well?” he exclaimed meanwhile. She smiled and put down her bags to carefully hug him back. He flinched slightly at first, but let her hug him anyway, something she greatly appreciated. Right when she was about to let go again, someone pulled her away from him. While staggering back, she managed to get a glimpse of the face of her ‘attacker.’ It was Yesung, one of the guys she saw the least often as he lived at home. Instead of saying hi or anything alike, he just lifted her in his arms, turning away to carry her into the living room.

“Crazy fan alert! Crazy fan alert!” he called out, making her laugh. When he reached the couch, he put her down, after which she was assaulted by everyone who had heard him. They all gathered around her, saying hello and smiling brightly. She couldn’t help laughing because of the enthusiastic welcoming of the boys. Since she was on the eleventh floor, there were only the calm people and, to her great surprise, Henry and Zhou Mi as well. Yet the one person she was actually visiting wasn’t in her sight. “Where is he?” she asked after greeting all of them with a hug or a smile. When she looked around she didn’t see him, but she did see Sungmin bringing her bags and putting them at the wall.

“Telling the guys on the twelfth floor to put on some clothes because you’re visiting.” Yesung replied. He really was worthy of his nickname. You never knew what he would do. Whatever you expected, Yesung always managed to do something different than that and totally surprise you with it too.

“Wait. The guys on the twelfth floor are naked? I have to see that!” she exclaimed, jumping up from the couch. Yesung immediately pulled her to him by her hand.

“Want a piggyback ride?” he asked. At first she thought he was joking, but he was looking at her with a serious expression. She nodded, to see what he would do. In a matter of moments she was sitting on his back and he walked out of the door with her. She looked back, giving the remaining guys a surprised look over her shoulder. They were just all standing there, grinning like idiots. She tried to hold on to Yesung without choking him, something she managed to do quite well, even if she said so herself. He carried her up the stairs quite easily, walking to the door and opening it without knocking. The sight he revealed was unexpected.

Selene immediately put her hands over Yesung’s eyes, but kept staring at the remarkable sight herself. The six inhabitants of the twelfth floor were standing right in front of her, all of them only wearing pants with their chests exposed. It wasn’t like it was a very shocking sight, but covering Yesung’s eyes had been a reflex, even though she didn’t know where it came from. The six, who had noticed them enter as well, stood there like frozen, staring back at her. Without really noticing, she was checking out their bodies. They all had nicely shaped abs. Some a little more outspoken than others.

“Yah!” a loud voice suddenly called, making them all snap out of their shock. “What do you think you’re doing!?” Selene was already starting to feel guilty, because the moment she had recognized Hyukjae’s voice, she had realized what she was staring at and how it must have looked to him. He was looking at her, but instead of saying the expected stuff he went to stand in front of Leeteuk, thereby covering her view on him. “No girl has ever seen Teukie’s body before. I don’t want him to lose his virginity by you.” he then said, giving her a reprimanding look. She stared at him in shock a few moments, before looking down at Yesung’s head.

“You heard that, Yeye? No looking at Teukie for you. Let’s go.” she said. Yesung seemed to listen well as he immediately turned around. The moment she was sure he wouldn’t be able to see the boys anymore, she took her hands from his eyes. There was a moment of silence behind them as they walked away, before some burst out laughing. Before they had even reached the stairs, however, Selene already made Yesung stop and turn back. She immediately put her hand in front of his eyes again when they stood in the doorway. “Oh and by the way. I need you all to get down to the eleventh floor as soon as possible. No exceptions allowed. Are Siwon and Kibum around?”

“Kibum’s on the eleventh floor.” Yesung was again the one to answer her question. She looked down on him in surprise.

“Oh.. Really? I must have looked over him then.”

“No, he didn’t come to say hi.”

“What!? Let’s go teach him a lesson!” She wanted to make him turn around again, but then she remembered the other person. “What about Siwon?” This time it was someone else answering instead of Yesung.

“Present.” Selene looked up to see Siwon walking out of what probably was the bathroom. He only had a towel wrapped around his middle, his hair still wet, obviously just coming out of the shower. She could only barely keep her jaw from dropping and immediately turned her head to look in another direction.

“Great. Put on some clothes and come down.” she replied, staring at the wall on the opposite side of the room as Siwon was. “Make that a lot of clothes..that cover a lot of now naked skin.” She tapped Yesung on the shoulder and he turned around again. “Please.” she added over her shoulder, before moving out of sight as Yesung walked away. As expected, Hyukjae immediately came running out as well, stopping them again.

“Am I not getting any hello?” he asked her, pouting. She smiled.

“Mianhe, but I don’t want Yesung to have to carry me for too long.” she then replied.

“Oh that’s not a problem.” Yesung interrupted the conversation. “But I don’t want to be right in between your lovey-dovey greetings.” Selene burst out laughing, hugging the boy from behind.

“You really are Weirdo.” she said, grinning. “But if you have no problems carrying me, then you can surely take me downstairs again, right?” Hearing her words, Yesung set off. He indeed did not show any signs of having trouble carrying her, so the trip down the stairs didn’t take very long. Hyukjae followed after them, but since he was taking his time, he stayed behind a bit.

Once back in dorm-eleven, as she called it, she jumped down and walked towards the bag with presents to take it to the couch with her. When she sat down, Hyukjae had also arrived and came to sit down next to her. She immediately let the bag be for what it was to properly greet her boyfriend first. He smiled when she did that and happily accepted her kiss. She gladly let herself be embraced by him and even crawled closer against his chest. She stayed like that until the dorm-twelve members entered and ruined their precious time together.

“Aw! Aren’t they cute! We should take a picture!” Heechul said with a sarcastic tone in his voice. “Gengie, do you have your phone with you?” Instead of replying, Hangeng took his friend in some martial arts grip that involved choking the other person and put his hand over Heechul’s mouth. Upon seeing that, Leeteuk immediately went to Heechul’s rescue, jumping on Hangengs back. The Chinese guy, however, did not even move a foot with the extra weight. He simply kept fake choking Heechul.

“You don’t talk like that to a lady.” were his only words, before he let go. Then his smile appeared again, showing it had all been for fun. Heechul straightened his back and rubbed his ‘hurting’ neck.

“Aish really. No one sides with me anymore these days.” he complained. Selene smiled as she got up, thereby letting go of Hyukjae.

“Maybe you should stop getting angry at them so often. That might possibly help you regain your popularity. Smile at them once in a while. No one can resist your cutie face.” she said to Heechul, walking towards him and giving him a hug. He snorted, but did return the hug.

“Those kids should just learn to be respectful to their hyung.” he mumbled.

“Look who’s talking!” Leeteuk immediately responded, making everyone laugh. Selene gave all of them a hug to say hello. She had always been very easy when it came to physical contact and the boys had already adjusted to that. Now that even Sungmin didn’t mind anymore, she considered her job done.
