A/N: The first story I wrote with Super Junior in it lol. I was a bit of a fan at that time and Hyukjae was the first member of Super Junior I knew. I gradually learned more about them as I wrote this story so if some things don't add up at all, don't blame me lol.

“Aish.. Really..” was all he said in a complaining way, but he soon continued. “I don’t understand you. I really don’t. You didn’t want to even look at me after getting all angry and now you just come when I tell you to and you smile as if nothing’s wrong.” His outburst came spontaneously, making her aware of the fact that those were his true feelings that he had wanted to put into words for a while already. She couldn’t help but smile, which made him sigh. “And then I say things like this and you just smile again and give me that look.”

“What look?” Her interest immediately rose because of the tone of his voice.

“That look that makes me feel so small and ignorant.” he said, shaking his head a little. The giggle had left her mouth before she could stop it and she saw how he raised one eyebrow, giving her a disbelieving look. “Now you giggle?” He was so funny that she giggled again. Deciding it didn’t matter, she stopped holding back the laughter and just let it out. At first he stared at her in disbelief, but when her giggling didn’t stop, a little smile appeared on his face.

“Sometimes you just act so ignorant and little, then that’s the only look I can give you.” she finally replied when her giggling had calmed down. He shook his head.

“That’s what I don’t get. You push me down so hard, how can I not be little?” She took another sip of tea, reaching out the cup to him.

“Want some too?” she asked. He stared at the cup blankly for a few seconds, before taking it and drinking as well. “Just don’t let me push you down.” she then continued the conversation.

“What? But how could I? You already almost kill me now. I don’t want to know where they would find me if I should dare to argue with you.” He gave her back the cup, which she carefully took out of his hand.

“A leg here, a hand there, some hairs on the couch,..” she started to sum up with a serious face. When she saw the smile on his face break through again, she smiled as well.

“Probably.” he mumbled. She immediately shook her head.

“That’s not me. I’m very dominant when the other person allows me to be, but I easily give in to someone who opposes to me. At least when it is someone I care about.” she explained. Without really noticing it she took a step closer towards him and put her hand on his lower arm. “And I care about you.” she mumbled, looking right at him. He didn’t try to avoid her gaze, staring back with a distrusting look in his eyes. She sighed, letting her hand slide down until she touched his. “I love you, Hyukkie, you know that.” His whole body seemed to relax when she said those words and he sighed deeply.

“I guess I should know, but I tend to lose my belief in those feelings of you when you grab my throat and push me against a wall. It gets even harder to keep believing when after that you hit me and then go around to happily hug all of my friends.” he mumbled, softly stroking her hand with his fingers. She couldn’t help but grin a little.

“I really grabbed your throat and pushed you against the wall, didn’t I?” she asked, snickering softly. He nodded seriously, but the smile was still visible on his face. “That’s what I mean. You shouldn’t allow me to do that. If you allow me to, I will do it, if you go against it, I will immediately calm down.”

“Aish.. Really.. I don’t understand you.” he sighed, repeating the same words he had said a little earlier. She chuckled and leaned closer to give him a kiss. “Yum, citron tea. Can I have another sip?” he said, licking his lips. She laughed and put the cup against his mouth, giving him some more tea like that.

When he had drunk, she emptied the rest of the cup, before placing it on the ground next to her. Without hesitating, she let her arms slip around his middle and stepped closer to him, so that she could lean against him. He embraced her as well, pulling her with him as he took a step back to lean against the wall. She chuckled, but he didn’t take it to heart as he stroked through her hair with his fingers. She listened to his calming heartbeat.

They stood there like that for a while, not really paying any attention as time passed by. It was only when the door opened, that she felt how Hyukjae looked up. She turned a little in his arms to be able to see who had wanted to come into the hallway. A surprised Sungmin was looking at the both of them. Without saying anything, he turned back to the people in the room and motioned something to them. It took the boys less than ten seconds to gather in the door opening and hallway.

“Aw..” Heechul was the first to talk. “How cute.” Everyone else nodded in agreement. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone of us in that position.” he continued. Now he was given only a bunch of weird looks. “I mean hugging a girl so tenderly.” he immediately started protecting himself. They all nodded in agreement again. Selene shook her head with a sigh, before leaning against Hyukjae again. She felt a little..watched.

“Do not feed the zoo animals. It might cause them to get sick. Please also do not stare too long. They might get a little aggressive. Especially the female.” someone suddenly said, making everyone laugh. The boys went back into the living room, leaving her and Hyukjae alone again. She smiled, knowing that it had been Afreya who had said those words.

“Let’s go in as well.” she said softly, letting go of him. Calmly she picked up her cup of tea again, before walking towards the door. He stopped her by grabbing her hand and pulling her back. Surprised, she turned her face to look at him, earning a kiss as she did so. With a little chuckle she pulled him with her to the door, gently opening it and walking in. Without a second thought she walked towards Donghae, making Hyukjae sit down first to be able to sit on his lap.

“Hmpf. You guys are too much, really. Totally ruining the moment. Did you really all have to come and stare?” he complained to his friends as he sat down. There was grinning everywhere, but Selene didn’t pay attention to them. After putting the cup of tea on the ground next to them, she let her arms slide around Hyukjae’s middle again, leaning a little closer towards Donghae.

“I’m sorry.” she whispered to him. It was the first time she apologized for throwing a fit, but it had also been the first time for it to be this bad. He looked at her a moment, before smiling and shrugging.

“It’s something between you two.” he replied.

“Yah, but you’re the one to glue the pieces back together every time again.”

“True.” He grinned, but shrugged to show her that he had accepted her apologies. “Be a little careful of yourself, Kangin will get home soon.” he then added. As if bitten by a snake, Selene jumped up from Hyukjae’s lap, earning herself strange looks from those who were watching and a lot of protest from Hyukjae.

“Kangin will get home soon.” was all she said, turning to Afreya after. “I think I’ll go do some shopping now. Great time for it, don’t you think Afreya?” Her friend immediately jumped up, nodding heavily.

“Yep. Shopping sounds wonderful. I should go to the hotel and pack as well. I have to go again tomorrow.” she mumbled, using Japanese because it was easier for her.

“Go again? I thought you took a break of a month?” Sungmin asked surprised. He was the only one to understand them almost completely whenever they spoke Japanese. Afreya smiled at him and nodded.

“We do, but my family would like to see me as well during that break. We’re already halfway and I haven’t been home even once.” she then replied, clarifying her reasons for having to go. The conversation made Selene think of her own parents whom she hadn’t seen in quite a while either. She quickly brushed the thoughts away as she leaned down to give Hyukjae a quick kiss before setting off to the door.

Protesting exclamations came from all around her and a hand grabbed her wrist before she was even able to reach the door. She didn’t even have to look to know it was Hangeng. What did the guy have with her lately? Did she recently save his life without knowing or something? She turned back to the group of guys, not really knowing what to say, so just looking at each of them. They just stared back, so she pulled free from Hangeng’s grip and continued her way. Again she was stopped.

“Let her go.” Hyukjae suddenly spoke from behind her. She turned to smile gratefully at him. He smiled back, before fixing his gaze on Hangeng. “Let her go, please, hyung.” He repeated. She felt Hangeng’s grip lessen, but he didn’t fully let go of her yet.

“Why do you always try to be gone when Kangin gets here?” he asked, making her look at him. She anxiously glanced at Hyukjae, but didn’t say anything. “I mean, don’t you like him? Did he do something wrong to you? There must be some reason why you try to avoid him?” She sighed, slowly turning back to the group, but still not feeling all that good. She tried to come up with a possibility to get out, but didn’t find any. In the end she gave in.

“He scares me.” she admitted. The boys had obviously expected any reason but that one. They stared at her as if she had gone crazy, remaining dead silent. Only Donghae and Hyukjae, who already knew about her fear for their hyung, kept their calm. Everyone else suddenly just started calling out questions. With a little shake of her head she made them all fall silent again. “There’s no reason, he never did anything bad to me, he just scares me.”

“And me as well.” Afreya added, walking up to her. She pushed Hangeng away and put an arm around her friend’s shoulders. The boys stared at them a while, before suddenly bursting out in laughter. They shook their heads with bright smiles on their faces, but didn’t seem to believe the girls.

“Now who in this wide world could possibly be scared of Kangin? Seriously!” Shindong exclaimed, shaking his head while laughing. Selene gave him one mean look that shut him up immediately, before turning and setting for the door again. Afreya walked alongside with her, but they were stopped again. Only this time no one grabbed her hand, it were just words that made her hesitate to go out.

“If you keep avoiding him, you’ll always be scared. Why don’t you stay here and face him, you’ll see that he’s not all that bad.” The words were spoken by the wise leader of course and his gentle voice made her turn around to face him. He was giving her a sincere smile, clearly not pushing her to do anything, only suggesting. His calm appearance and the longing to be with Hyukjae a little longer, even if it was only minutes, made her decide not to go. She turned to Afreya to ask her opinion, but somehow her friend had already ended up in Hangeng’s arms, being carried back to the couch. Selene stared at the strange image with a blank look, not really grasping the situation. When Hangeng put Afreya down, the girl just pulled her clothing right again and sat down where Hangeng had placed her, right next to Leeteuk. The boy seemed happy to be so close to his crush, even though she didn’t give him any attention whatsoever. With a little sigh Selene prepared to walk back to Hyukjae, but before she could, something else caught her attention.

Eunhyuk had been watching his girlfriend as she fought out the battle going on inside her head. He really didn’t get her. She yelled at him without any second thoughts, even assaulted him, yet she was scared to death when it came to Kangin. Okay, he had to admit that Kangin probably looked a little scarier than he did, but when it came to strength, they were an equal match, not to say that he was stronger than his hyung. Right when Selene seemed to have decided, the door was opened, hitting her in the back of her head. She stumbled forward because of the strength with which the door hit her and let out a soft cry of pain. He was on his feet in no time, finding his way to her before anyone else had even moved. Only the person coming in reached her before he did, putting a hand on the back of her head and anxiously apologizing over and over.

“I’m sorry. Did I hurt you really bad? Are you okay? I should have looked out better. Is it bleeding? I’m really sorry.”

“Selene, are you alright?” Eunhyuk added while the others said things like “Is everything okay with her?” “Omo.” “Does it hurt real bad?” and “Should I get some ice?” Three fourth of the people in the room got up to see if she was okay, but no one could come close enough to check, since Eunhyuk was protectively hovering around her. Luckily the hectic situation was ended when Selene spoke.

“I’m fine.” she reassured them. “I’m just a little bit dizzy. Maybe I should sit down.” The whole group of people moved towards the couch with Selene in the middle, stepping aside to let her through as she went to sit down. Eunhyuk immediately sat down next to her, carefully examining the back of her head to see if it was bleeding maybe. Fortunately, she seemed to have a strong head since there wasn’t even a sensitive spot. It was only when he was assured of her wellbeing that he looked up at the newcomer, surprised to recognize Siwon.

“Siwon!” he exclaimed, making everyone fix their attention on their band member. “I didn’t expect to see you here.” Siwon smiled and nodded.

“I know, but my parents aren’t home anyway, so I decided that it would be better to spend my time here with you guys. Much less boring than being home alone.” was his reply. While saying that, he was already hugging the other guys as a greeting, not letting anyone slip through the mazes of the net. When the whole group around them had been hugged, he turned to them, so Eunhyuk got up to give his dongseng a hug too. After that Siwon bend down to hug Selene as well. “I’m really very sorry about your head.” he said once again.

“It’s no big deal, don’t worry.” she replied, smiling comfortingly. “Gives me a reason to get Hyukjae to do everything for me.” Her comment made the bystanders chuckle.

“Tsk, as if you need a reason for that.” was Heechul’s hateful comment, but he winked at her when she turned to look at him. He was still sitting on the ground in front of his laptop, a place he hadn’t left anymore since they had gotten home. Eunhyuk, also noticing the wink, felt a flash of jealousy go through him. He didn’t show anything of it, knowing that being jealous was simply ridiculous, but he couldn’t help taking Selene’s hand in his. She looked at him the moment their skin touched and smiled one of her beautiful smiles. He immediately felt his heart burst with the love he had for her and wanted to do hug her and never let her go. Realizing everyone was watching, however, he just sat there and did nothing.

“Oppa saranghae.” she suddenly said, making him freeze in shock. It was the first time she called him oppa and the first time she told him she loved him in front of others. Quickly regaining his wit, he snickered and nudged her shoulder.

“Are you sure you’re alright? How hard did that door hit you?” he replied jokingly. She hit his shoulder with an insulted expression, but obviously couldn’t hold back the smile that appeared on her face because of his comment. Feeling very happy to be the one lucky enough to call himself the boyfriend of a wonderful girl like Selene, he made himself comfortable on his newfound spot on the couch. Selene immediately crawled on his lap, letting her head rest on his shoulder. Her place next to him was immediately taken by Donghae. He put one arm around Selene and let his free hand rest on Donghae’s as he watched the other guys finding some place to sit as well.

Siwon who had finished going around hugging everyone went to sit next to Hangeng, as expected. He immediately put his arms around his hyung’s middle, smiling happily. The sight made Eunhyuk think about how much all his band members were like brothers to him. How they shared all the good and bad together and always supported each other. It had been a very tense time when Hangeng had filed the lawsuit against their company and everyone had been edgy and anxious. The case had gotten a positive ending, luckily, so they were all happily together again. Especially now that Kangin’s trouble because of his accident had ended and Kibum had managed to combine his acting and singing career. All in all, Eunhyuk was a very happy person.

But it would never hurt if that Jo Kwon dude suddenly disappeared..
