Silence was something he would never be able to get used to. Silence and the pink bunnies in his hyung’s bed. Yet somehow, those were the exact two things that surrounded him right now. The room was empty except for his own, seemingly lifeless body that he had flopped down in between the said pink bunnies. His chest rose and fell again when he sighed, making the little bunny on top of him almost roll off. Something stopped it, however, and it took him a whole minute to figure out that the hand holding the bunny was connected to his body.

He groaned. His head hurt from the thinking, his eyesight was obviously failing him a little and there wasn’t much feeling left in his body, as if all his senses had gone numb. With inhumane efforts, he managed to push the bunny from his chest so that he could sit up straight. About five minutes later, he finally succeeded. He turned his head to the right. The two emptied bottles of wine were still standing on his desk, being the exact reason why his body wasn’t functioning like it should anymore.

He sighed again. Since when had moving become this hard? Since when was keeping his eyes open something he would have to put an effort in? Oh and, most importantly.. Since when had this silence taken over the room? Too much time had passed since his hyung had left for schedules. There was no way in the world that he had emptied those bottles in less than two hours all by himself. Yet if he didn’t drink that fast, then why was everything passing by in slow-motion?

His eyes wandered from the wine bottles to the other things on his desk. A laptop, a bunch of papers, a few dirty glasses, a crumpled up T-shirt, a l- Oh.. That T-shirt on the desk..was his? He slowly took note of the absent feeling of fabric brushing against his chest when he had moved. When did he take off his T-shirt anyway? And more importantly, why?

He started to get up, feeling his body move only minutes after he willed it to. He felt a little light-headed and somewhere in the back of his mind he wondered if this was what moving in space would feel like. One of his typical smirks appeared on his face as he stood up from the bed, immediately swaying forward and falling down face first on the carpet. He groaned the moment the pain got registered by his senses.

Before he could save his dignity and get up, the door of the room was opened and the sound of footsteps could be heard. He felt the ground shaking a little when the door was thrown closed again. Something inside him screamed for him to get up, but there still was the problem of his body needing to respond to his brain. Right when he was about to start moving, the person seemed to notice him.

“Oh my god! Kyuhyun!” The sound seemed to come from somewhere far away, yet he faintly felt a hand shaking his shoulder and he realized that whoever was inside, must be sitting next to him. Another groan came out and his body finally started moving the way he wanted it to. He rolled on his back, yet somehow he got stuck halfway, so his right arm was being squeezed under his body. He looked up at whoever was sitting next to him, skimming the familiar face with his eyes. His own face broke into a seemingly effortless, wide grin upon recognizing the person.

“Minnie!” he squealed. Yes, he squealed. And he didn’t care. Because the amount of happiness he felt upon seeing his hyung, who had been gone for ages, could just as well be expressed with happy squeals. Certainly, Minnie would now chase away the silence in the room and get rid of the pink bunnies! His hyung, however, seemed to think otherwise, as he simply stared at him in silence, a frown creasing his forehead.

Fine. So Minnie wasn’t going to cut the silence. He felt the grin fade away and slowly started to get up. For some reason, his hyung helped him with that, even though the frown was still visible. He muttered some offended sounds that weren’t at all coherent while he got back up on his feet. As he took a step, he started swaying from left to right again, dangerously leaning towards one side at a certain moment. Before realizing what happened, someone -probably Minnie- pulled him backwards and he landed right in the middle of all the pink bunnies again.

The strength of the throw had ruined Minnie’s balance as well, however, and pretty soon after landing on the bed, he found himself gazing up at his hyung’s arm, which had landed right on top of his face. He let out a painful grunt when this new pain was registered by his senses as well. Pretty soon, his view was cleared from any of Minnie’s body parts, until his face came into sight next. Minnie was still scowling.

He felt the grin appear on his face again, as if seeing his hyung was a definite reason for grinning. Then again.. Wasn’t it? He let out a girlish giggle and suddenly threw up his arms to pull his hyung against his chest. It went surprisingly fast and fluent. He chuckled like a happy little kid as he hugged the other tightly, not really noticing the other’s faint struggles to get free. When he finally let go again, an angrily blushing Minnie glared at him.

“You seriously are completely wasted, Cho Kyuhyun.” he said.

“Cho. Kyu. Hyun.” he repeated the name, giggling again at the sound of it. “Cho Kyuhyun and Lee Minnie.” Another giggle before.. “You are home.”

“Yes I am, but apparently I’m already too late.” the other muttered, starting to crawl off the bed. In no time he sat up again as well and grabbed his hyung’s hand to prevent him from going somewhere.

“You can’t leave, Minnie.” he pouted. The other was swaying from left to right, and even blinking a few times to clear his view didn’t chase the shaky image away. Another grin cleared the pout from his face as he realized what his hyung had said moments before. “Completely wasted.” he repeated like a little child that was hearing something for the first time. He broke out in a bunch of giggles again. Apparently his hyung saw that as some sort of sign, because the moment the giggles died away, he felt himself being pulled up from the bed again.

Everything moved in a blurry haze and things didn’t stop spinning until long after he was standing upright on his feet. He noticed the arm wrapped around his waist, holding him upright. The arm belonged to no other than his hyung, of course, who was concentrating on something more below his waist. A little curious, he let his eyes wander downwards as well, only to burst out in another set of giggles when he realised what was going on.

“Minnie, not today.” he was able to say, pushing away the hand that had already unbuttoned his pants and was trying to pull down the zipper as well. The action, however, made him topple over again. He was caught by the surprisingly strong arms of his hyung and dragged towards the bed. This time, when he was pushed down, no pink bunnies surrounded him. After a while, he realised it was his own bed he was sitting on.

Quite soon the hands were back, effortlessly zipping open his pants and pulling it from his legs. He looked at it in surprise, then followed the trail of his legs to his feet. With wide eyes, he watched his wiggling toes, bursting out into giggles again not long after. Had his toes always looked this funny when he wiggled them? Another set of giggles escaped him and he started fanning his face with his hands since it was flushing.

“Go to sleep, Kyu.” the other person woke him from his toe-wiggle-experiences. He looked up at the older guy standing in front of him, his lips pouted in what was probably one of the best sad looks he had ever managed.

“But it’s so silent.” he replied a little whiny, stretching out his arms towards his hyung. The other did nothing to comfort him, however, and just eyed him with a slightly softened expression on his face. “Hyung was gone so long and it was silent so I had to make the silence go away.” He went on, still showing his adorable pout.

“By drinking wine?” Minnie raised an eyebrow in disbelief.

“I was thirsty.” he countered, huffing because he obviously wasn’t getting what he wanted. “Hyu-u-ung.” he then whined, flapping his arms like a sick bird in a drunken motion for Minnie to come closer. Somehow the message got true and he was soon able to grab Minnie’s wrist and pull his hyung on the bed next to him. “You have to make the silence go away.” he then ordered. The reply came in the form of a soft chuckle and a few mocking words.

“Do I now?”

“Yes.” he said, nodding heavily as if to show his hyung the importance of this mission.

“Then why don’t you go lie down first and I will make the silence go away.” Minnie replied, pushing him down on the bed softly and then tucking him in under the blanket.

“And the pink bunnies?” he asked, eyeing the dreaded pink plushies on his hyung’s bed. Minnie chuckled.
“Them as well.”

“Okay.” he mumbled, feeling his eyes become stingy. He closed them a moment, to make the pain go away, but never got to opening them anymore as he was taken away to dreamland.
