[FIC] It's a string thing

Title: It's a string thing
Characters: Henry, Sungmin
Rating: G
Wordcount: 420
Summary: Sometimes Sungmin wonders how anyone can be friends with Henry.
A/N: I don't like this one as much.. It's very alike to the Sihae one and it sucks. It was my last one written, so that might be part of that, but still. It sucks. Enjoy suckiness.

Henry and Sungmin didn’t use to see each other much as Sungmin wasn’t in the subgroup Henry was in and the maknae wasn’t often around in Korea just for the life of it. Yet in the past few months, the youngest had been around a lot more and he had even participated in the making of their newest album. For that reason, Henry was to be found in the dorms quite a bit more often than before and Sungmin was able to discover his personality and habits.

Henry would search for the company of the older boy a lot, because he was very kind and usually very calm, which had a relaxing effect on his surroundings. There was also the fact that Sungmin was one of the members he didn’t know as well and that Ryeowook told him a lot about the elder and praised him often. Basically Henry was just as curious about Sungmin as the elder was about him. So they were often found in the same room. At least at the start.

The calm and relaxing Sungmin could never have expected that behind the cute, chubby-cheeked exterior of the younger lay a bouncy personality that often had the boy running around the dorm or hyperactively talking at super speed, which caused Sungmin to ask him to calm down a little and be a little more silent. At other times Henry would be vividly practicing his violin, and it wasn’t that Sungmin didn’t like the sound of the violin or that he thought Henry was bad at it, but after two hours of hearing the instrument constantly being played, he did long to hear something different for a while. Like silence.

The problem with Henry was that whenever Sungmin told him about one of those tiny little things that could get on his nerves at times, the younger boy listened indeed. Yet he used the knowledge in the wrong way. Instead of avoiding the actions, he would start bouncing around Sungmin’s room or play the same piece on the violin over and over again on purpose. It was that part of the maknae that made Sungmin try to avoid him more often, yet the younger didn’t give him the chance to and stuck to him like glue.

Sungmin therefore sighed one day and mumbled an “I don’t see how anyone can be a fan of yours, Henry.” in the younger boy’s direction, earning a wide grin from the other and an immediate answer.

“It’s a string thing, hyung.”
