[FIC] Never cry again

Title: Never cry again
Characters: Undefined
Rating: G
Wordcount: 522
Summary: It hurts to see her cry over someone else
A/N: So I was listening to Tell me goodbye by Big Bang over and over while reading someone else's fanfic and suddenly drabble inspiration came to me. I started writing, just randomly spouting the words that entered my mind. And this is what came out of it. A short, nonsensical drabble that holds no real value, but I think it's still a nice, short read. ^^ Putting in names of the persons just wasn't possible for me once again, but the people I was thinking of while writing this are below the story, for those who don't want to have their view on the story messed up by my personal thoughts about the characters.
Hope you enjoy this short drabble.

A big silence hung around them as she stared. Stared at the person in front of her and tried to grasp exactly what he had said. Tried to grasp the meaning of his words as she felt the tears starting to form in her eyes. Tears that would soon wet her cheeks.

He looked back at her, obviously seeing the brimming tears, but doing nothing to stop them. She wished he would just take a step towards her, show her that he still cared, even though the words he said to her were far from nice or loving. She wished he would just go back to being the good friend he used to be. A friend he was supposed to be.

“Yah.. So.. I’ll be going then.” was all he said, however, turning around and walking away. She followed his retreat with her eyes, unable to move, unable to grasp the truth behind her words. Her body felt like she would lose control over it soon and she expected her legs to buckle out from underneath her any moment now.. And indeed they did.

She felt herself go limp and her view slowly tilted over. She could see the ground coming closer bit by bit, but before the thud of hitting rock bottom could register in her mind, something -or better someone- stopped her fall. Strong arms pulled her back on her feet and her face was pressed against the soft fabric of a T-shirt. She suddenly noticed that the tears were already making their way down over her cheeks and the first sob made her body shock.

Comforting hands wiped the tears from her face and tucked her hair behind her ears, her back was being stroked in a very relaxing way and a calming voice mumbled soft nothings in her ear to make her stop crying, but her body did not respond to any of it. As her tears kept running, she found herself wondering about the smell the T-shirt she was leaning against had and how it faintly reminded her of lavender in the afternoon sun.

Slowly her tears came to an end and her sobbing turned into occasional sniffing, until it completely died away. She felt her heartbeat calm down as she slowly lifted her head to look up at whoever it was that was standing with her. The first thing she noticed was how close he actually was standing and how reassuring his arms around her really felt. A little smile pulled up the corners of his mouth and she could only smile back.

“Don’t cry over him.” the same calming voice from before told her, now using words that actually meant something to her, making her avert her eyes to the ground. There was silence between them as she tried to look at everything but him, yet in the end she failed and ended up still looking up at his face. “I don’t want you to cry over anyone but me.” he said, letting his fingers trail the line of her cheek.

“Why?”

“Because that way I can make sure you never have to cry again.”
